Just go play at a …
Just go play at a games workshop or with friends. They’ll explain everything to you.
Or consider playing the Dawn of War computer games instead.

    Nids would kill deffy….

  8. PlanetDead says:

And may I add that …
And may I add that having a Broodlord among the Genestealers is a very nice addition as it may use its Hypnotize psy power to make, lets say, a powerful enemy independent character, unable to do anything during assault phase if succesful.

  9. PlanetDead says:

    Even without Toxin …
Even without Toxin Sacs they are good against pretty much any infantry they are assaulting against.

  10. TheBubHunter says:

    are genestealers …
are genestealers with toxin sacs and scything talons any good

  11. Sinningflesh says:

As GW is awful at …
As GW is awful at keeping old items viable do you have any thoughts on the old Armorcast Tyranids? I ask as my son has a large Tyranid force with a few of the Armorcast figures. Some have suggested “counts as” – Exocrine = Tyranofex, Haruspex = Trygon & Malefactor = Tervigon.

A good use of Termies is to use them to shield Warriors (Termies become cover). If you add a Prime to a brood of a single Carnifex the Prime is half the brood & is in cover by the Termies. Helps Fex last longer.

  16. Espeon1134 says:

    Okay two things on …
    Okay two things on this

    First with Warriors.
You use them for close commbat with the lashwhip and Bone sword. It makes them more costly i have noticed but it is a killer for any troop unti when you bring in about 6 warriors.

Also with termagaunt you want to go devour since even if it doubles there points it triples their shots.

Also i did see something neat with the genestealer on a vid, a group of them took out a Monolift (sp)

  17. DudeOfDistortion says:

    nope, mycetic …
nope, mycetic spores are no Troop choices. They are a sort of upgrade for almost every choice (HQ, Elite, etc.) within the Tyranid army. The only difference with, well, the entire rest of the army, is that Mycetic Spores are no scoring units, which means, that when it kills an enemy group of models, it does not count as killpoint.

  21. CHEESYHEAD684 says:

    Genestealers > Terminators.

  22. atomiclunchbox1 says:

    Once something is …
Once something is in close combat it can’t be shot at so isn’t that a reason to have ripper swarms slow down enemys

  23. IcyClaw25 says:

    noo why Matthew. …
noo why Matthew. you made me want to sell half my army because my army is every thing you said not to have but thanks for the tips also does mycetic spore (spore pod) count as a troop
