How to make easy war gaming scenery?

Need to make some scenery for warhammer game on Friday.

I suggest creativity and paint. For example, you could probably make a passable bush by dipping some cotton balls in green paint, then fluffing them to the shape you want. For basic terrain, make shapes out of cardboard or styrofoam (or both), paint them, then if desired dip them in dirt (bare earth), sand (bare sand), or something like green flocking or extremely shredded green paper for grass (while they’re still wet, obviously, so the things will stick). A painted towel (or other piece of terrycloth) might make decent grass, too (the paint will tend to make the loops clump up). If you have enough time for it to dry, puddles of plain Elmer’s glue might make good water.

Just keep in mind: fast, cheap, good, pick at most 2.

I used to put books under a table cloth to make the hills. You know those little toy soldier men you can get the little green soldiers from toy story type one. I used to by sets of them that came with sandbags walls and barbwire rolls they alwats looked good. I also used to make Airfix model planes too i used to break up the old ones and make em look like a crash site on the table was kinda fun.

In fact i think i used to prefere making and painting my warhammer 40k stuff more than playing it :)

Get some soda cans and buy some boxes for CCGs, then spray them gray for quick and easy buildings.

Cut up some cereal boxes into a square shape, for addt’l buildings.

Cut some pieces of felt into kidney bean shapes for rough terrain and forests.
